STUDENT INTERESTS AND TALENTS
Comment on the extent to which your child reads for pleasure, and list some works of literature your child has read in the course of language arts study over the past year, noting any that were particular favorites.
Describe your child's experience of mathematics education, specifying if possible the textbook he or she has used over the past year. If applying for grades 8-12, please indicate which (if any) of the following courses have been completed successfully: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
Comment on the extent to which your child enjoys the study of history. If applying for grades 8-12, please indicate which of the following history courses, if any, have been completed successfully: World History, History of the Classical World or Western Civilization, European History, Modern Civilization, and/or U.S. History.
Describe your child's experience of science education, noting any science fair projects or science exploration undertaken for personal curiosity. If applying for grades 8-12, please indicate which, if any, of the following courses have been completed successfully: Biology, Chemistry, Conceptual Physics or Physical Science, Physics, Earth Science, or Computer Science.
Note foreign languages studied in an academic setting, including the setting and the years of study, as well as any foreign languages spoken at home.
Describe your child’s education and experience of arts, drama, and music.

Before you submit, please print a copy of this page for your records and in case of submission failure. Upon receipt of your application and the application fee of $50, an LCA teacher will contact you to schedule student meeting and assessment. The application fee can be submitted online with a credit card at www.louisvilleclassicalacademy.org/application-fee-1. If you prefer to pay by check, please mail the fee to Admissions, 2005 Douglass Blvd., Louisville KY 40205. In most cases, offers of placement are made within two weeks of the assessment.
