The Pegasus Auxiliary
WHAT IS THE PEGASUS AUXILIARY?
The Pegasus Auxiliary (PAX) is a volunteer organization of parents and friends of Louisville Classical Academy who serve to support the school’s mission and vision, welcome new students and families, build community, and foster school spirit.
WHAT DOES LCA'S PEGASUS AUXILIARY DO?
PAX members share our time, talents, and resources in support of LCA’s mission as it relates to community building, school spirit, and fundraising. PAX works with the head of school as well as board members and teachers to help plan and execute student and family activities (e.g., spirit week, Fall Festival, outreach booths, Pegasus Night Fundraising Gala) that nurture our close-knit school community and raise funds to support LCA’s vision for continued excellence and growth.
Our success is dependent upon community involvement. We invite all parents, guardians, and friends of the school to join our efforts. Please contact Hunter Weinberg or Geri Kipp with questions or to join! Their email addresses are available in the school directory.
IF I JOIN, WHAT IS MY COMMITMENT?
No matter the amount of time or energy you can or can’t give, we want you to be a part of the Pegasus Auxiliary. We have big and small tasks; something for everyone. We may need help monitoring students at lunch or pursuing Pegasus Night donations. We may ask for volunteers to make a phone call or attend open house to welcome new and prospective families. We may need someone to launder a few tablecloths after an event, put up a yard sign for outreach purposes, or seal Pegasus Night invitations.
PAX hosts quarterly meetings (summer included) for all members and will hold additional meetings when necessary (e.g., planning Fall Festival, Pegasus Night Fundraising Gala). We would love to see everyone at our quarterly meetings, but please know that membership does not require this level of commitment. Simply checking the PAX Facebook page or News & Reminders for updates, sharing your ideas, and responding to volunteer requests is appreciated.
