Admissions Process

Our admissions process is designed to ensure prospective students are equipped to succeed at Louisville Classical Academy. The process typically begins with a tour of the school or by attending an open house. Following that, interested families should submit an application, and a shadow day will then be scheduled for your student. The priority admissions deadline each year is the Friday before winter break. First round enrollment offers are issued the first week of February. Priority Application deadline, December 18

In order to be considered for priority enrollment, the application must be submitted by December 18th, and the shadow or assessment must be completed by mid-January. All applications submitted after the deadline are processed on a rolling basis.

Shadow day/assessments

A full-day shadow, where students are paired with a current LCA student and follow a full-day schedule, is required for students applying for 1st-11th grade. Brief literacy and math assessments are completed on the shadow day. Prospective kindergarten students must complete a readiness assessment and also have the option to complete a half or full day shadow experience. Prospective preschool applicants meet with our Director of the Preschool for a readiness assessment prior to the enrollment decision.

Priority enrollment, first week of February

Priority applicants who have submitted a complete application, including the shadow day and/or assessments, will receive an enrollment decision the first week of February and are given two weeks to enroll before their spot is no longer guaranteed. After the two-week window, all enrollment decisions are issued on a rolling basis.

financial aid

Financial aid applications are due by December 18 for priority, first-round consideration. However, all enrollment decisions are need-blind. Families who have submitted a complete financial aid application will receive a financial aid offer within 2 weeks of their enrollment offer.
