B.S. in Elementary Education with a Minor in Special Education

Sandra Sawicki holds a BS in elementary education with a minor in special education from West Virginia University.

Sandra’s teaching experience spans preschool through middle school grades in private and public schools in West Virginia, Connecticut, and New York, including six years as the first grade teacher at LCA.

Initially encountering the classical education model while homeschooling her young children, Sandra has become a strong proponent of classical education for students of all ages. In the Primary School at LCA, explicit phonics instruction, classic literature, hands-on science and math activities, and memorization of math facts and poetry combine to create a solid foundation for future learning.
